Founded in Paris in 2003 by Claude Marchal, Parfums MDCI is a very exclusive perfume design house.
Parfums MDCI is reviving the French tradition of the Art of Perfume and creates rare and original perfumes, presented in unique bottles with hand-sculpted stoppers capture timeless feelings and emotions in a very special way. It’s latest collection is the Materpieces Collection; Mr Marchal chose several famous paintings that he loves as “The Officer of the Imperial Horse Guard Charging” by Géricault (1812), the “Blue Boy” by Gainsborough (1770) and “L’homme aux gants” by The Titian (1523), and invited several perfumers to create fragrances based on the emotions that they feel in front of a certain canvas.
All paintings show men, each with their own character, in their own epoch, their surroundings and circumstances (Venice, the battlefield in Europe, France and Britain) but the vision of perfumers can be anything. Arts and Fragrances finally together for a very artistic project.
