ESXENCE – THE ART PERFUMERY EVENT The leading international Art Perfumery event is gearing up for its twelfth edition and looking at new trends in the sector

Milan, June 22nd 2020 – There is great interest and sense of anticipation for the reprise of the twelfth edition of Esxence – The Art Perfumery Event, now due to be held from 11 to 14 February 2021 at the MiCo, Milano Convention Centre.

Esxence, the world’s most important event in the area of niche perfumery and the pearl in the crown of Italy’s beauty events, confirms its mission as the trend forecaster for the entire perfumery industry chain, which draws on artistic perfumery for the ideas and proposals that will nourish it in the years to come.

“Immediately deciding to postpone the event seemed to us to be the best solution for supporting the institutions and the competent authorities in protecting and safeguarding the best conditions for the health and safety of our exhibitors and visitors”, comments Maurizio Cavezzali, CEO of Equipe Exibit. “In our work, we are keeping scrupulously up to date with all developments in terms of the new guidelines and innovations that have emerged in this period of rethinking, so as to able to organise the event in absolute safety. Esxence thrives on human relations and professional bonds to optimise and facilitate an exchange of enthusiasms, experiences and creativity: the fair is the irreplaceable culmination for the whole industry.”

In recent months, a large proportion of Esxence activities has moved online and onto social networks. The event’s official website www.esxence.com now hosts Esxence Stories, a new communication project set up to support our exhibitors and give them a chance to talk about their brands and present their new products, as well as a place for debating with experts and enthusiasts. In parallel, Esxence Meets has developed on the social networks as a virtual discussion forum for meeting with the industry’s leading protagonists, facilitating an exchange of ideas and launching a message to the artistic perfumery scene.

Similarly, some of the appointments in the Esxence calendar of events will be brought forward and it will be possible to follow them on these digital platforms: webinars, round tables and lectures featuring some of the most authoritative protagonists and experts at world level, held in partnership with Essencional, the international study centre directed by Silvio Levi. “Esxence is a world benchmark event in the field of artistic perfumery, devised and created by a group of experts whose involvement in the sector of niche perfumery cannot be described in terms of mere enthusiasm”, stresses Silvio Levi, President of the Esxence Technical Committee and Director of Essencional. “It is the showcase for the world’s best artistic output, a veritable incubator for new trends and a launchpad for emerging brands.”

Setting our sights on increasingly digital development, Esxence will also create a new website, designed to be easier for business operatives and enthusiasts to use, so as to increase the visibility of its contents, together with an official app, an innovative tool to enable everyone to get a far closer experience of Esxence.

When it comes to education and training, the partnership between Esxence and the Milan Polytechnic Department of Design is broadening the scope of its action, supporting and sustaining the practical workshop part of the “Health & Beauty New Generation” course, an innovative, experimental teaching project that guides students through a learning experience, taking in artistic perfumery, design and luxury packaging.

During the next edition of Esxence, visitors will be able to take a direct part in these activities and see the prototypes created specifically for the event. Timed to coincide with the event, from 11 to 14 February 2021, the spaces of the MiCo, Milano Convention Centre will also host the second edition of the Experience Lab, promoted by the company Experience Me, the appointment devoted to niche beauty of excellence.
